-        Volunteering is a fun way to meet people and do something good for the community. There are several platforms that offer volunteer vacancies. Diemenvoorelkaar offers the most local initiatives. (diemenvoorelkaar.nl, samendiemen.nl, ikwilvrijwilligerswerkdoen.nl) 

-        'Meetup' or 'Amigos' (these are apps that allow you to connect with likeminded people to do something you both like or want to do.

-        Facebook offers communities of people in Diemen that speak your language. Often these communities keep you up to date on events, local news or provide assistance with integration.
