Zeldenrust

De L-vormige boerderij Zeldenrust is voor het eerst vermeld in 1626. De terp waarop de boerderij staat was echter al veel eerder, aan het eind van de 12e eeuw, bewoond. Van de 17e eeuwse situatie is een pentekening van Rembrandt bewaard gebleven. Tot circa 1970 bleef de boerderij in bedrijf. Bij de verbouwing in 1994 tot Gezondheidscentrum werd het voorhuis gerestaureerd.

The L-shaped farmhouse Zeldenrust was first mentioned in 1626. However, the mound on which the farmhouse stands was inhabited much earlier, at the end of the 12th century. A pen drawing by Rembrandt depicting the 17th-century situation has been preserved. The farm remained in operation until around 1970. During its conversion into a health center in 1994, the front house was carefully restored.
